• Tempered glass is considered safety glass and is very difficult to break. If the glass is broken, it shatters into pebbles reducing the risk of serious injury.
• Lastly, tempered glass cannot be cut, etched or carved, polished, or altered once it is tempered.

While the tempered glass cutting board is durable and break-resistant, please note the following to avoid damage:

• Avoid Scratching: Ceramic knives can scratch glass surfaces! The combination of high hardness, sharpness, and nature of ceramic knives makes them particularly prone to scratching glass surfaces, whereas softer and more ductile metal knives tend to be more forgiving. To prevent damage to glass cutting boards, it is advisable not to use ceramic knives. Metal knives won't scratch glass chopping boards.
